The table above provides an analysis of our clubs’ bar, gaming machine and total revenue for the latest quarters being September 2021 and December 2021 and YTD of the 2022 financial year.
Comparison this year to last year is tough with COVID-19 closures and social distancing impacting both this year and previous years’ results.
As you are well aware, the commencement of the 2022 financial year has been a disaster for clubs, with COVID-19 forcing clubs into closures throughout most of the state at some point in time. Whilst most clubs were able to re-open in October, the latest Omicron variant also impacted on clubs trade in December 2021, especially impacting on functions, with a high percentage being cancelled and also experiencing reduced patronage levels leading in the Christmas and New Year periods.
Since school has returned, most clubs are reporting better trading figures from late January 2022.
It is noted that total revenue also includes government subsidies such as Jobkeeper, Cashflow Boost, small business grants and Jobsaver.
