Sustainability and ESG: From Compliance to Strategic Advantage.
Join us for the third and final event in our exclusive forum series, designed to give business leaders clarity in a time of change. You'll gain practical guidance from leading legal, financial and insurance experts who intricately understand the challenges facing modern organisations.
Who should attend?
- Senior leaders and decision-makers in NFPs, SMEs and large private companies
- Board members seeking to strengthen governance frameworks
- Finance, operations and risk managers looking for actionable insights
We'll cover:
Introduction to Sustainability
Sustainability and ESG are rapidly moving from optional considerations to essential business priorities. In this session we’ll unpack the new climate-related disclosure requirements and the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (AASB S1 & S2), explaining how these impact not only large mandatory reporters but also flow on to SMEs and NFPs through supply chains, funding expectations, and stakeholder demands.
Attendees will gain practical insights into the risks and opportunities of embedding ESG practices, and why an ESG assessment is a critical first step in identifying priorities, aligning governance responsibilities, and creating a roadmap for action.
By the end of the session, you’ll understand the regulatory context, governance obligations, and the tangible benefits of adopting sustainability practices, from stronger resilience and risk management to improved efficiency, funding opportunities, and competitive advantage.

This session will unpack new climate-related disclosure requirements, the latest sustainability reporting standards, and the role of carbon accounting in risk management.
You will gain a clear roadmap on why an ESG assessment is the essential first step, revealing opportunities, strengthening resilience and positioning your organisation to thrive in a changing regulatory and business landscape.
