Amber began her accounting career in 1998, starting with a small firm in Cessnock after completing a commerce degree. What began as a job soon became a passion, and within a few years she moved to the firm’s Newcastle office before joining Cutcher & Neale in 2003 while completing her Chartered Accountant designation.
Amber quickly progressed into a client manager role and, in 2009, became a Director in the Accounting and Taxation Services team. In 2020, she achieved a milestone as Cutcher & Neale’s first female partner, reflecting her commitment to balancing leadership with a strong client focus. Her achievement has since inspired more women to join the partnership.
Known for her empathetic and goal-focused approach, Amber works closely with clients to understand their individual aspirations, creating tailored strategies and mapping clear steps to help achieve them. She takes pride in building long-term relationships, with many clients entrusting her to advise not only them but also their children, a testament to the trust and confidence she inspires.
Outside of work, Amber’s dedication to helping others extends into her community. Despite her busy schedule, she serves as P&C president, soccer team manager, and Scouts treasurer, and will soon be volunteering with Meals on Wheels. She has also previously volunteered with Lifeline and other not-for-profit organisations, reflecting her commitment to giving back.
