Caitlin Powell

Caitlin is Head of People at Cutcher & Neale, responsible for leading the firm’s people strategy, leadership development and culture initiatives as the business continues to grow and evolve.

With a career grounded in organisational development, Caitlin has always been drawn to the people side of business, particularly how organisations create environments where individuals can do their best work. She began her career in heavy industry before moving into consulting, where she worked across a diverse range of sectors including professional services, disability services and aged care.

Between 2017 and 2023, Caitlin worked closely with Cutcher & Neale as a trusted external advisor, partnering with the firm on a range of people and culture initiatives. Through this work, she developed a deep understanding of the business and its values, making her transition into an internal leadership role a natural next step

In her role as Head of People, Caitlin focuses on creating the conditions for individuals and teams to grow, lead and perform at their best. She is passionate about building clear career pathways, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring a strong connection between each person’s role and the broader purpose of the firm. Her work plays a key role in enabling Cutcher & Neale’s people to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.

A career highlight for Caitlin has been her involvement in establishing the firm’s core values. She takes pride in seeing these values embedded in the way the business operates, shaping how people are recruited, developed, recognised and supported, and influencing decision-making across the organisation.

Known for her strategic, purposeful and empowering approach, Caitlin is committed to helping both individuals and the firm succeed by bringing clarity to complex people challenges and fostering a strong, values-driven culture.

Outside of work, Caitlin has a strong connection to sport. She grew up playing representative basketball in Tamworth and continues to play socially, including in a mixed competition alongside her brother and sister, something that remains a highlight of her week.
