David McRae began his accounting career in 2004 while studying at university, securing part-time work after personally reaching out to local firms. At a small practice, he gained broad experience across all aspects of accounting, from reception to BAS preparation, which provided a strong foundation early in his career.
In 2008, David joined BBB Partners, initially planning a short stay while completing his CPA studies. Instead, he found a professional home and has now been with the firm for more than 15 years. Working under the guidance of Trevor Baxter and Steve Bavolyar, David absorbed different styles of practice but embraced the common principle that client service must always come first.
Known for his helpful and approachable nature, David is committed to going above and beyond to support his clients and provide practical solutions. His career highlights include achieving great outcomes for clients, speaking at events, and representing BBB within the community.
Outside of work, David has a passion for endurance challenges. Over the past 18 months, he has completed three major charity walks: the 50km Oxfam Trailwalker, the 30km Bloody Long Walk, and the 50km Coastrek.
