Kym is an experienced accounting professional at Cutcher & Neale, bringing over two decades of public practice experience and a strong focus on building meaningful client relationships.
Originally aspiring to pursue a career in journalism, Kym discovered her strengths in business and numbers during her final years of school, leading her to undertake a Commerce degree. Early in her studies, she secured a Trainee Accountant role in Newcastle in 1999, where she developed a solid technical foundation through hands-on work with cashbooks, reconciliations and financial records.
Throughout her career, Kym has built a reputation for her analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and genuine approach to client relationships. Her experience spans supporting a wide range of clients while also mentoring and developing team members, including Client Advisers and operational staff. She takes pride in fostering strong, collaborative relationships, both with clients and colleagues and creating an environment where people feel supported and understood.
Kym’s approach is grounded in connection and care. She focuses on taking the time to truly understand each client’s circumstances, providing practical, proactive solutions that help guide them through their financial journey with clarity and confidence.
In 2024, Kym joined Cutcher & Neale, where she continues to leverage her extensive experience to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients while building on the trusted relationships she has developed throughout her career. A recent career highlight has been her appointment as a Medico Associate, marking a significant milestone in a period of personal and professional growth, and reflecting her commitment to finding purpose and fulfilment in her work.
Known for being strategic, empathetic and resilient, Kym is valued by both her clients and team for her thoughtful, solutions-focused approach.
Outside of work, Kym enjoys creative home projects and has a passion for renovation. Whether it’s refreshing a space with a new coat of paint or spending time at Bunnings planning her next project, she finds the process both rewarding and therapeutic.
