Solution Option 1: Reinitialise Data

When you encounter an issue with your Freeway Solution, the first troubleshooting step should be to reinitialise the solutions(s).

Reinitialising the solution solves most of the common problems.

You should reinitialising each Freeway solution regularly, at a minimum once a week. The reinitialization process downloads all settings and tables relating to Freeway as configured in the mobility module within Ostendo. A standard sync will only download job, sales, and assembly data, not configuration data.

If your Ostendo Consultant has add any new style sheets or made configuration changes, a solution reinitialise must be executed. If you notice data missing or a datasheet does not behave as expected, then it is likely your Freeway solution needs to be reinitialised.

You can perform this by selecting Update from the solution main screen, enter your username and password, change Sync type from Standard Sync (default) to Re-Initialise Data and select Login.

Note: It is important to keep Freeway and Ostendo configuration in line, if Ostendo and Freeway configuration do not match, this can result in failed datasheets once the datasheet has been uploaded in to Ostendo. To prevent this, and you have performed a Reinitialise Data Sync, then any existing non-completed datasheets should be removed and new datasheets created.
