This industry-wide change means businesses will no longer be able to apply a surcharge to customers who choose to pay using these card types. What does this mean for Ostendo?
This change may impact your business if you currently:
· Display messaging on invoices, statements, reports, customer forms or other client-facing documents advising that certain payment methods will attract a credit card surcharge.
· Have credit card surcharges configured directly within Ostendo or integrated payment platforms.
· Include surcharge references in terms and conditions, payment instructions, or automated communications.
We recommend reviewing any customer-facing documentation and payment processes to ensure they remain compliant with the new requirements from 1 October 2026.
