Specialising in the not-for-profit, health services and registered charity sector, Mark leads many of the firms’ audit engagements and assists clients to improve corporate governance, financial reporting, analysis of service delivery costs and linking operational and financial performance measures.

Mark is also a Director of Mercy Services Limited, a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy Australia and PNG, a registered charity and provider of aged care, disability support, community transport and mental health services. Mark's appointment to this Board provides a valuable insight into operational risks and regulatory reforms faced by community organisations.

He is a registered company auditor and has extensive experience in financial reporting, external audit, internal control audits, funding acquittals, IT audit and forensic accounting and is responsible for maintaining our audit strategy, compliance, audit templates and quality control systems.

Mark also presents seminars on topics including financial reporting, regulatory reforms within the NFP sector and risk management.

Jarrod has a passion for fostering partnerships with clients, and takes the time to understand his client’s motivations and goals in order to provide them with tailored advice to help them build and protect their wealth.

Jarrod strives to stay at the forefront of accounting practice through championing innovation, and this dedication saw him awarded Innovative Partner of the Year in the 2019 Xero Awards.

He also developed the ‘At Risk, At Wealth’ concept which offers clients tailored and highly effective wealth creation and preservation strategies. His passion for helping clients to improve their performance through sound financial management led to the development of WealthStart and Australian Medical Benchmarks, which are all aimed to assist medical professionals and practices reach their financial, business and investment goals sooner.

With a niche focus of working with medical practitioners, Jarrod’s expertise has enabled him to guide many of his clients from the initial stages of wealth creation as doctors in training, right through to wealth protection, planning and retirement strategies.

Shane joined Cutcher & Neale in January 2005 and became a Partner in July 2012. He works within our medical and dental divisions and has a particular interest in self managed superannuation for our medical and dental client base.                                              

Shane is a noted presenter and commentator, regularly speaking at events for a range of industry organisations including the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Medical Association (AMA (NSW), the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM), and the SMSF Association.                                                            

He has extensive experience with medical and dental professionals and has assisted many practitioners in planning and structuring their businesses, improving their financial performance and structuring for business succession.

Nick is a registered company auditor and strongly believes in the value of the audit function for clients and is strongly committed, both personally and with his audit team, in providing extensive feedback and advice in respect to key systems and controls. Strong controls improves governance and financial reporting throughout the organisation.

His broad experience in the club and hospitality industry and also not for profits, mining and manufacturing, coupled with his strong analytical skills have been invaluable when working with Boards and Management to implement risk management and business improvement strategies.

Wade joined the Cutcher & Neale Investment Services division in 2014 and was appointed an Associate of the firm in May 2018, and then Partner in 2020.

Wade is a Commerce graduate from the University of Newcastle, holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is an Accredited Derivatives Advisor. Wade has over 10 years' experience working in financial services, across a range of accounting and investment advisory roles.

Wade believes investment portfolios should be built on transparency and flexibility, with a focus on direct exposure to both Australian and Global investment markets.

Michael joined our firm in 1998. As head of our Business Software & System Solutions division he provides tailored technology solutions on a wide variety of operational, ERP and financial systems to small, medium and large enterprises. Michael has been responsible for the project management of numerous large operational software implementations in the Manufacturing, Jobbing, Services and Wholesale Distribution industry sectors.

As a recognised expert with a deep understanding of businesses financial systems, Michael's consulting skills have been employed to write detailed business system reports highlighting areas in which automation and efficiency can be gained, controls tightened, improve data capture & management and overall system consolidation. His insights have led to major cost savings and significant productivity improvements for numerous organisations.

Along with his software technical talents, Michael has strong accounting skills. These have been applied on behalf of clients to conduct detailed financial statement reviews in the absence of an internal accountant.

As a proficient data analysis, Michael is able to assess operational processes, integrate systems, combine data flows and provide tailored reporting solutions for key stakeholders.

Nick joined Cutcher & Neale in 2006. He is committed to helping the legal profession make sense of the dollars in dispute resolution and is highly regarded by our clients.

Whilst he started his career at Deloitte as an auditor, since specialising in forensic accounting Nick has developed a reputation delivering independent opinions to complex issues in an easy to understand manner, whether that be in a written report or in the witness box. Highly regarded in his field, Nick has written technical papers and presented at numerous legal seminars and forums. In April 2013 Nick was appointed to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal as a part-time member with accounting experience.

Nick has a unique ability to identify the significant aspects of the matter in dispute and what is required to be able to form a concluded opinion on those issues. Sometimes that involves considering the issues in the context of the bigger picture and other times it means getting stuck into the detail to find the needle in the haystack that will support his opinion and assist with resolving the dispute.
